ParticipACTION's Bring Back Play Campaign

Dear OSPAPPH Members,

We are excited to share some news with you about the launch of ParticipACTION’s multi-media, integrated marketing campaign to get Canadian kids moving more. The Bring Back Play campaign encourages parents to increase their children’s physical activity levels by bringing back the kind of unstructured, active play that kept them healthy and happy when they were kids.
See the Bring Back Play television commercial that is being broadcast across the country and go to for more information on the campaign.

As a partner of ParticipACTION’s, OSPAPPH wants to let you know about some marketing tools that are available for your health unit to take advantage of.  These customizable marketing and communications tools leverage the Bring Back Play campaign message and allow health units to add their own branding and become partners in promoting the message at the community level.

Take a look at the attached Bring Back Play Marketing Kit that outlines all of the tools available and how to access them. These tools include; customizable print and digital ads, matte articles, a modifiable press release, campaign related key messages, letters to the editor, a Bring Back Play logo, and a social media support kit with pre-written posts and tips on how to spread the word.
Take a few moments to explore the Bring Back Play marketing kit and see if any of the resources work for your health unit.

Play is one of the easiest, most accessible and, importantly, fun ways for kids to move their bodies!
