Information and Resources from the Canadian Paediatric Society

Dear OSPAPPH members,

We are pleased to share information with you on the Canadian Paediatric Society's new program Active Kids, Healthy Kids.

At the core of the program is the idea that all children and youth need daily physical activity for growth and development.  The program features tools that could be useful to health professionals and families alike, including:
  • Information about the amount of physical activity children and youth need to be healthy
  • Information about the benefits of physical activity
  • Videos on how to overcome barriers to physical activity
  • Resources and materials to help families get and stay active.
They also have many more resources available on their website both for health professionals (www.cps.ca/active-kids) and for parents (www.caringforkids.cps.ca/active-kids).

Best regards,
Your OSPAPPH Executive
