Vision:  A healthy Ontario that supports physical activity for all through public health leadership.


Mission:  To elevate physical activity as a public health priority through advocacy, capacity building, engagement, and collaboration.


OSPAPPH aims to be the unified voice representing public health practitioners with the mandate of promoting physical activity in their respective communities. This organization builds on the strengths of an established infrastructure and mandate within the public health system, as well as the partnerships formed at the community, provincial and national levels with the ultimate purpose of increasing physical activity levels in Ontario.

Members:

OSPAPPH members are public health practitioners with the mandate of promoting physical activity in their respective communities.  This can include, but is not limited to, Health Promoters, Public Health Nurses, Physical Activity Specialists, Health Educators, and Health Promotion Consultants.


OSPAPPH also works with a number of Provincial and National stakeholders to keep physical activity on the agenda and ensure messages and recommendations align with public health.

Membership:

Membership is open to all public health practitioners in Ontario with the mandate of promoting physical activity in their respective communities. This includes, but is not limited to: Health Promoters, Public Health Nurses, Physical Activity Specialists, Health Educators, and Health Promotion Consultants.
